HONEYWELL COLLABORATES WITH OT CYBERSECURITY INFORMATION SHARING ANALYSIS CENTER FOCUSED ON STRENGTHENING CYBER RESILIENCY Collaboration with the OT Cybersecurity Information Sharing and Analysis Center will focus on improving cybersecurity of critical infrastructure in the Asia-Pacific region.

SINGAPORE, Oct 26 (Bernama) -- Honeywell (Nasdaq: HON) announced it will collaborate with Singapore-based OT Cybersecurity Information Sharing and Analysis Center (OT-ISAC) to on improving cyber resiliency against threats to critical infrastructure in the public and private sectors. As a leader in industrial cybersecurity, Honeywell will bring broad cybersecurity experience and threat knowledge to OT-ISAC, the first Asia-Pacific wide collaboration to foster operational technology (OT) cybersecurity within critical information infrastructures.

OT-ISAC is a non-profit organization whose mission is to facilitate a secure-threat information sharing community for warning and mitigation. Companies share, learn and build on best practices for all community members to defend themselves and take mitigating action against malicious actors and cybersecurity threats.

“Honeywell is pleased to work with OT-ISAC because we are sharply focused on helping organizations protect their critical assets and strengthen their cyber resilience,” said Jeff Zindel, vice president and general manager, Honeywell OT Cybersecurity. “We believe that by increasing awareness of OT cybersecurity challenges and serving as a central resource for the public and private sectors, we can partner with the OT-ISAC community to improve critical infrastructure security in Singapore and the greater Asia-Pacific region.”

Honeywell’s collaboration will focus on supporting OT-ISAC in securing critical information infrastructure in 11 main sectors that include government, infocomm, energy, aviation, maritime, land transport, healthcare, banking and finance, water, security and media. Achieving cyber resilience is one of the biggest cybersecurity challenges for organizations across sectors, with World Economic Forum research indicating more than 87% of senior executives plan to improve cyber resilience in their organizations.¹ According to aggregated cybersecurity threat data from hundreds of industrial facilities globally in the 2022 Honeywell Industrial Cybersecurity USB Threat Report, 51% of threats were designed to establish remote access capabilities, while 32% of threats were designed specifically to target industrial control systems.

In addition to being a vendor-neutral OT Cybersecurity leader, Honeywell operates a cybersecurity center of excellence (COE) in Singapore for Asia Pacific. The COE features an R&D lab, an advanced training facility and a security operations center that provides managed security services. The Center conducts proprietary research, develops cybersecurity technologies and products, provides hands-on training and offers certifications. Honeywell has one of the world’s first few third-party validation labs that conducts field-level testing and validation of industrial cybersecurity solutions.
