KUALA LUMPUR, May 7 (Bernama) -- Xsolla, a global leader in video game commerce, has launched its Buy Button for Mobile Games, a direct-to-consumer payment solution that enables mobile developers to keep more of what they earn by saving on traditional platform fees.

The launch follows a significant United States (US) court ruling on April 30, prohibiting Apple from blocking external payment links or charging commissions on third-party storefronts in the US, giving developers new opportunities to connect with players and grow revenue, according to a statement.

“This court decision is a turning point for mobile game developers in the US and around the world. This rollout reinforces Xsolla’s commitment to building flexible, global commerce tools empowering developers to succeed and scale their business across multiple platforms,” said its Chief Strategy Officer, Chris Hewish.

The Xsolla Buy Button for Mobile Games allows developers to embed direct payment links inside their games, leading to a browser-based checkout powered by Xsolla Web Shop and Xsolla Pay Station.

This checkout supports the sale of virtual items, currencies, and bundles, delivering a seamless player experience while avoiding up to 30 per cent in platform fees.

The tool also integrates features such as catalogue synchronisation, loyalty programmes, and personalised offers, with minimal development required.

Developers can deploy external links quickly using Xsolla’s Instant Web Shop template, with tax compliance, parental controls, and global payment infrastructure fully managed by Xsolla as the Merchant of Record.

Additional capabilities include real-time synchronisation with in-game events, multi-channel integration across web and social platforms, and built-in global compliance. The feature is now available through the Xsolla Publisher Account.

The Buy Button for Mobile Games gives developers the tools to grow their business sustainably while building deeper relationships with their players.
