KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 11 (Bernama) -- Global connected vehicle telematics company, Geotab Inc marked its 25th anniversary, underscoring its growth from a two-person startup into one of the world’s largest telematics providers with about five million connected vehicles under subscription and over 50,000 customers.
Geotab founder and chief executive officer, Neil Cawse said the company’s success is the result of combining vision, talent, teamwork and customer collaboration.
“This anniversary is a moment to look back at our humble beginnings and the incredible path we have walked, but more importantly, it is a launchpad for what is still to come,” he said in a statement.
He added that Geotab’s technology, powered by data insights and partnerships, enables customers to address real-world challenges such as road safety, carbon footprint reduction and efficient delivery of goods.
Meanwhile, Geotab associate vice president, Asia Pacific, David Brown said demand for smarter, safer and more sustainable fleet solutions is growing rapidly in Australia and across the region.
“We are seeing strong momentum as more businesses turn to data and technology to solve everyday challenges, and we are proud to be on this journey with our customers and partners,” Brown said.
The company’s long-standing success is attributed to its strategic use of artificial intelligence (AI) and data analytics.
Geotab is among the largest users of Google Cloud services, integrating advanced AI and machine learning into its platform to provide predictive insights and fleet management solutions.
This include capabilities such as detecting potential accidents, anticipating vehicle failures, and assessing road risks before they occur.
Founded on the belief that data can change the world, Geotab now employs more than 2,700 staff globally and has built an ecosystem of over 700 partners. The company holds more than 300 patents for industry innovations.
