Wanyoo, PUBG collaborate on eSports centre for PCL teams
KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 11 -- PUBG Global Invitational.S recently kicked off, with Teams from Mainland China, Taipei and Japan set to join the game online.
Apart from that, 22 Europe, North America, Southeast Asia and South Korea teams will participate in the tournament in Korean’s Main Venue, according to a statement.
Unlike in the past, teams participated in matches at their club bases; this time, PUBG has reached an official partnership with Wanyoo to build a Wanyoo X PGI.S Joint eSports Center for PCL teams for the tournament ending March 28.
Each team gets a dedicated game room and a lounge. The lounges are equipped with large display screens and training boards. The battle flags hang high and team sighs stand out, making a strong fighting atmosphere.
In addition, the centre is compliant with local COVID-19 restriction, and staffs will undergo tests on a weekly basis.
Unlike previous closed venues, the first floor area of PGI.S arena will be open to fans.
It is reported the theme eSports centre may be open for free later, for fans to watch games, as well as surprise activities such as celebrities’ onsite visits.
Wanyoo has also developed its eSports centre business outside of China. By now, Wanyoo has operating eSports centres in the USA, Canada, England, Australia and Singapore.
