GTJAI Won Several Awards Including "Best Financial Company"
Solidified its Balance Sheet to Facilitate High-Net-Worth Clients’ in Quality Assets Allocation
HONG KONG, Jan 21 (Bernama-BUSINESS WIRE) -- Guotai Junan International Holdings Limited (“Guotai Junan International”, :“GTJAI” stock code: 1788.HK) announces that the Company has won several prizes in the 5th Golden Hong Kong Stocks Awards and the 2nd Golden Central Awards, namely:
“Best Financial Company” for the 2nd consecutive year
“Best Wealth Management” for the 1st time
“Most All-round Broker” for the 1st time
All three awards, which aimed to honor corporations for healthy governance structures, prominent market positions and satisfactory core businesses, reflected the high recognition from professional media in mainland China for the Group’s role as a Hongkong-listed financial service company.
Amid the challenging operating environment in 2020, GTJAI made early adjustments to its operation strategy and strengthened control over market risks and credit risks through rigorous risk management system and measures. In the second half of 2019, the Group reviewed its situation and made responsive decisions on its balance sheet management and strategy in which the Group lowered the market risk exposure in certain businesses on the balance sheet and largely increased its cash reserves. Meanwhile, it proactively made impairment and provision for the assets of relatively high risks in 2019 to enhance the balance sheet’s ability to deal with potential risks. Leveraging years of service experience and in-depth understanding in the capital market, while the Company effectively managed its own balance sheet and risks, it also grasped market opportunities for its clients, hoping to attract high-net-worth wealth management clients with differentiated and high-quality investment and financing products, facilitating them in seeking and investing in quality underlying assets in the volatile market cycle.
The 5th Golden Hong Kong Stocks Awards and the 2nd Golden Central Awards, co-organized by Chinese stock information platforms Zhitong Caijing (智通財經) and 10JQKA.com (同花順財經), attracted more than 1,000 Hongkong-listed participants. Winners were decided after a 2-month detailed consideration by a professional judging panel as well as a vote among the public.
