Synchronoss hits new milestone with over 30 mln +Message subscribers
KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 22 (Bernama) -- United States-based Synchronoss Technologies Inc, a global leader and innovator in cloud, messaging and digital products and platforms, has reached a new milestone in Japan with 32.5 million subscribers for +Message.
+Message is a cross-operator Rich Communications Service (RCS) powered by Synchronoss Advanced Messaging, in collaboration with mobile operators NTT DOCOMO, KDDI and SoftBank.
The current milestone represents a 62 per cent increase in subscribers since Synchronoss noted the progress of the Japanese consortium’s deployment of its RCS in November 2020.
Synchronoss Japan general manager, Yosuke Morioka, said the rise in +Message subscribers in Japan further validates the value of RCS and how mobile operators can utilise it to offer new revenue-generating services.
“We look forward to working with NTT DOCOMO, KDDI and SoftBank to explore additional market opportunities for this feature-rich technology platform,” he said in a statement.
Synchronoss said +Message offers a feature-rich text messaging system that allows Japanese users to communicate with friends and family, in addition to providing the capability to interact and engage with brands and businesses safely and securely.
