5th China International Import Expo to be held Nov 5-10, 2022

KUALA LUMPUR, July 27 (Bernama) -- The 5th China International Import Expo (CIIE), to be held at the National Exhibition and Convention Centre in Shanghai from Nov 5-10, 2022, is set to benefit countries under China’s Belt and Road initiative.

CIIE is a major platform for international procurement, investment promotion, cultural exchanges and open cooperation.

Exhibitors at the past four CIIEs launched more than 1,500 new products, technologies and services and clinched tentative deals worth over US$270 billion (US$1=RM4.45),

As the CIIE enters its fifth year, more and more countries have begun to cast their sights on the Chinese market and export their products to China, according to a statement from the organiser.

“To date, more than 80 per cent of the planned business exhibition area for the 5th CIIE has been reserved, and more than 260 Fortune Global 500 companies and industry leaders are expected to attend the expo this year,” it said.

The event will also see the release of the latest World Openness Report and World Openness Index during the Hongqiao International Economic Forum, a major part of the event.
