Bursa Malaysia Berhad, TNB Winners Of Red Hat APAC Innovation Awards 2021 (Malaysia)

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 18 -- Red Hat Inc, the world's leading provider of open source solutions has announced the winners of the Red Hat APAC Innovation Awards 2021 for Malaysia.
Bursa Malaysia Berhad and Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) were honoured at the Red Hat APAC Forum Virtual Experience for their digital transformation journey and innovations using Red Hat solutions.
Open source continues to be an innovation engine for Asia Pacific enterprises by helping them modernise infrastructures, develop applications, and transform digitally. According to Red Hat’s recent State of Enterprise Open Source report, 92 per cent of the region’s IT leaders are currently using enterprise open source, above the global average of 90 per cent.
Themed ‘Open Your Perspective’, the Red Hat APAC Forum Virtual Experience encourages organisations to build resilience, achieve their transformation goals, and propel their business forward with open source.
This year, the Red Hat APAC Innovation Awards 2021 recognised the technological achievements of 24 organisations in the region for their creative thinking, determined problem solving, and innovative use of Red Hat solutions.
Winners were recognised in five categories: Digital Transformation, Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure, Cloud-native Development, Automation, and Resilience.
Under Category: Digital Transformation and Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure, Bursa Malaysia Berhad was adjudged winner.
For Category: Digital Transformation and Automation, Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB), the largest electricity utility in Malaysia and a leading utility company in Asia with an international presence in seven additional countries, was the winner.
In a statement, Marjet Andriesse, vice president and general manager, APAC, Red Hat congratulated this year’s winners while noting Asia Pacific organisations were using open source rapidly and effectively to create more business possibilities with digital transformation.
