Intuit QuickBooks’ Cloud-based Financial Management Software Free Worldwide Including Malaysia
KUALA LUMPUR, May 9 (Bernama) – Intuit QuickBooks announced global free access to QuickBooks Online Accountant (QBOA), enabling accounting professionals in 170 countries including Malaysia to move to the cloud faster, scale their practices and bring more value to their clients and the wider economy.
Intuit QuickBooks Australia Vice President, Lars Leber said as a cost-competitive market ranking in the top 20 of the world’s most business-friendly countries, Malaysia is an attractive market for business owners, creating a wealth of opportunities for the region’s accounting professionals.
“The scale of the roll out of QBOA, and the accessibility of the platform for free, will help to unlock huge economic potential in Malaysia, as well as around the globe,” he said in a statement.
Global trends and technological advancements are transforming the world of work and reshaping the future of the accountancy profession, increasingly shifting demand towards more strategic and analytical roles.
Malaysia is in need of 60,000 qualified professional accountants by 2030, with just over 37,000 members registered with the Malaysian Institute of Accountants today. Accountants will be key to helping fuel local business and economic prosperity.
Developed with a select group of accountants globally over the past 12 months, QBOA is a refined suite of benefits to help professional accountants move to the cloud faster and drive greater efficiency and scalability of their firms.
Assisted QBOA onboarding for accountant professionals and bookkeepers is free, via a Zoom session, and is focused on new clients who are new to QuickBooks, as well as any existing clients that are not actively using QuickBooks. It is a hands-on, “Do-It-With-Me” session.
Local developers can now publish apps as part of the QuickBooks Global App Store, to include payroll, payments, inventory and purpose-built applications for specific regions, to integrate with QuickBooks.
Intuit serves more than 100 million customers worldwide and is one of the biggest software companies in the world, with Intuit QuickBooks now the first provider in the market to deliver at this scale for the accounting profession.
