KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 16 (Bernama) -- Alpen Co Ltd has commenced operations for the 2025–2026 winter season at Alpen SNOWLAND BIBAI, its winter activity facility in Hokkaido, beginning Dec 6.
Set on a 1.25 million-square-metre site that functions as a 27-hole golf course during summer, Alpen SNOWLAND BIBAI offers a broad range of snow-based activities catering to families, first-time snow visitors and adventure seekers, delivering a winter experience unique to Hokkaido’s expansive natural landscape.
Among the highlights this season is a hot air balloon experience, offering guests panoramic aerial views of Bibai’s snow-covered mountains under suitable weather conditions, providing a rare and tranquil winter vantage point.
In a statement, Alpen said the facility also featured a hovercraft adventure, allowing visitors to glide smoothly over snow on a cushion of air, and it is the only leisure facility in Japan to offer this experience.
In addition, visitors can choose from more than 10 snow activities, including snowmobiles, snow rafting, child-friendly mini snowmobiles and four-wheel buggies, with options ranging from family-orientated activities to more high-adrenaline rides.
Accommodation has been expanded with the opening of Hokkaido ZEN Cabins, newly built on-site lodgings that can be reserved privately for up to three guests, enabling visitors to stay overnight amid Hokkaido’s winter scenery.
Alpen SNOWLAND BIBAI is accessible by car in about 90 minutes from New Chitose Airport and two hours and 10 minutes from Asahikawa Airport, while the limited express train from JR Sapporo Station reaches Bibai Station in only 35 minutes.
Reservations are available via the official website, with a five per cent discount offered to guests who enter the promotion code “Philippine” or “Malaysia” at the time of booking.
