WorldRemit celebrates Diwali with tablet giveaway to recipients in India

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 11 -- WorldRemit, a leading international payments company, is celebrating Diwali by giving away 100 tablets to recipients in India.

Also known as the Festival of Lights, Diwali symbolises the triumph of good over evil and is celebrated by the Hindu, Jain and Sikh communities.

Meanwhile, 41 per cent of respondents said they usually sent money to family and friends back home during Diwali and 65 per cent respondents said Diwali was even more important this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
