KUALA LUMPUR, July 20 (Bernama) -- NX Global Engineering Pte Ltd, a group company of Nippon Express Holdings Inc, has participated in a cleanup activity at Sembawang Park in Singapore, last month.
According to a statement, the participants were all volunteers seeking to reduce pollutants and contaminants in order to protect the park, the ocean and wildlife.
During this recent effort, they cleaned up an area of approximately seven hectares around the park and beach and collected a total of 21 bags of trash, including non-biodegradable empty boxes, plastic bottles and plastic bags.
The Nippon Express Group will remain aware of its social and public missions as a logistics company and will actively communicate with local communities and engage in community-based social contribution activities to help bring about sustainable societies.
